THE GAME-NIGHT GUIDE

A clear score. A smoother game.

Keep the Round handles the numbers while your group plays the game on the table. Use it for one to eight players on a shared phone, tablet, or laptop.

Set the table

Open the scorekeeper and tap “Game night” to give this session a name. Tap each player name to edit it. Add players with “Add player,” or remove an unused row with ×. The highest score wins by default; switch to “Lowest score wins” for games where points are penalties.

Enter a total, or adjust by one

The + and − buttons change a player’s total by one point. For a larger change, tap the number and replace it with the new cumulative total. Scores can be positive, zero, or negative. An accidental score change can be reversed with Undo.

A quick example

Alex has 12 points and earns 8 more. Replace 12 with 20, not 8. Sam has 17 and earns 4, so enter 21. In highest-score mode, Sam now leads. In lowest-score mode, Alex leads.

Move to the next round

“Next round” increases the round counter and keeps the cumulative scores. It returns the turn to the first player and resets the timer. The current version does not keep a separate score history for each round. Use the printable score sheet if you want a written record of every round.

Keep turns moving

Choose 30 seconds, one minute, two minutes, or five minutes. Start or pause the timer as needed. The arrow beside the timer moves to the next player and resets the countdown. At zero, the timer changes color; there is no sound alert. Keep it visible if your group needs to notice the end of a turn.

Roll without the missing dice

Choose one to six standard six-sided dice and tap “Roll dice.” The tray displays each result and the sum. Rolling does not add points to anyone’s score automatically: your game’s rules determine what the roll means.

Come back to your game

The game name, player names, scores, round, and player turn save in this browser. They are not synced to other devices. Private browsing, clearing site data, or changing browsers can remove access to the saved game. Undo history and an active timer do not survive a page reload.

Begin again

“New game” asks before clearing scores and rounds. It keeps your player names. If you confirm by mistake, Undo can restore the previous state while the tab remains open.
